When I first walked into this bathroom, I genuinely asked, “Why am I here? This looks brand new!” Turns out it was — only 3 years old.

But behind the glossy finishes, everything was going wrong. Wall tiles were so poorly fixed I could peel them off with my hands. The underfloor heating? Never worked. Floor tiles? Lifting and loose. The sink was leaking, drainage was slow, and the only thing working properly was the freestanding bath.

The whole subfloor was wrecked — a result of some seriously shoddy workmanship. It looked great on the surface, but the install had been done by an amateur. It was a classic case of style over substance, and sadly, the customer paid the price with a bathroom that was falling apart well before its time.

So, we stripped it back, repiped the entire space (waste and water), and gave it a fresh foundation — literally. We reworked the layout to better suit the customer’s needs and brought in proper materials and proper products. Quality grout, quality silicone (you wouldn’t believe how many silicone colours we carry on the van), and the kind of finishing detail that really elevates a job.
