Tucked away in the peaceful village of Stannington, remote enough to feel like a retreat, yet just minutes from the A1, we’ve started something special for a lovely couple.

This week’s install: transforming their en-suite (bathroom 1 of 2!) into a fresh, modern space they’ll love for years to come.

The “before” bathroom had served its time, but it was looking tired and dated. The towel rail pipework? Let’s just say… it wasn’t doing the room any favours.

That’s why I always make sure my pipework is brought cleanly out of the wall, not the floor. It’s a small detail, but it makes a huge difference, giving a sleek, uncluttered look while making cleaning and maintenance easier. These finishing touches are what turn a standard bathroom into a standout one.
